We are a small garden nursery specialising in hostas. We are located in the village of Clayton West between Holmfirth and Wakefield in West Yorkshire.

At any one time we have about 250 varieties for sale, from giant hostas such as ‘Empress Wu’ (probably the largest of them all at over 4’) and Jurassic Park, to miniature hostas such as Cat’s Eye and Teeny Weeny Bikini, scarcely 3-4” in height when mature. We sell mainly through garden shows but if you would like to visit our nursery then you will get a warm welcome. Please ring us before you come though, to make sure we are in and that we’ve got what you are looking for. From 2011 our garden is open to the public for charity through the National Garden Scheme.

Our Hostas
Our catalogue includes some of the best of the classic hostas - favourites, such as Devon Green, Mama Mia, and Yellow River, together with a really good selection of recent introductions, – some which may be new to you. In our Catalogue hostas new to us are all marked as ‘New’.

Everyone has their own favourites but we especially like those with red or dark petioles, e.g., Cherry Tart, Fire Island, Torchlight; and those with rippled edges such as Jimmy Crack Corn, Neptune and Spartan Arrow.

We love miniature hostas – they look wonderful in troughs, gravel beds and bowls. They can even be grown in accent pots to go with bonsai. No garden or window box is too small for miniature hostas! Our catalogue includes over 70 varieties.

If you see something in our catalogue that you would like to buy, please give us a ring. We can bring plants to a show for you to collect or we can send them mail order.
